Greenscape

My most recent project, set in New York City, dives into my interest for green architecture in urban environments. Brushing just the surface of sustainble and green infrastructure, I aimed to imitate the Highline's key feature: green. Taking Greenscape literally, I decided to put emphasis on my kinetic, breathing facade and create a large box surrounding my site. The facade reacts to the time of day and wind patterns as well as offer a separate threshold from the outside world. The green roofs, green amphitheater, and water feature promotes biodiversity that was once abundant on Manhattan Island. Weaving in Buildner's Student International Competition 'Museum of Emotions', I played around with the vegetation and sunlight to bring both positive and negative emotions which was the main thesis of the competition.

Our unique site shares property lines with the Highline located in Chelsea District, New York City, New York. This historical district is well-known for its rich history in LGBTQ+ movements and is home to dozens of art galleries.
